November 4: Reading Efficiently

Too much reading, too little time? Dr. Steve Layne, Professor of Education, will share practical strategies to make the most of your reading time without sacrificing comprehension. We’ll explore techniques for skimming, scanning, and deep reading, as well as how to adjust your approach for different types of texts and academic disciplines. Leave with tools to read smarter, stay focused, and retain more of what you read.

  • 6:00 PM : Dinner (Writing Center consultant, librarians, or academic peer mentors are available for questions or to help set up appointments)
